AI dating photos that still look like you
Upload one to three selfies and make the dating profile pictures you are missing: a clear lead photo, a full-body shot, a candid. Natural light and normal clothes, so the person who turns up to the date matches the profile.

The photos a dating profile needs
Six shots do most of the work. Each one answers a different question a stranger has about you.
1Clear solo close-up
Your first photo. Face fills the frame, eyes visible, a real smile, nobody else in shot. It gets judged at thumbnail size, so no sunglasses and no hat.
2Full-body shot
Head to toe, standing or walking, in clothes you own. It answers the question people are too polite to ask, so keep your build exactly as it is.
3Hobby, face visible
Something you do most weeks, with your face still in view. Only generate a hobby you really have: the first message will be about it.
4Candid, mid-laugh
Looking away from the lens, laughing at something. It reads as a photo a friend took, and that is what makes a profile feel relaxed.
5Dressed up
One photo that shows you can make an effort: a shirt or a dress, a restaurant or a bar in the evening. One is enough.
6Travel or outdoors
Daylight, a view, a jacket. Choose a place you have been, or a setting that could be any coast or trail, so you are not claiming a trip you never took.
Two photos to take for real
A strong profile also has these, and a generator is the wrong tool for both.

With friends
A generator can only invent your friends. Use a real photo where it is obvious which person is you, and put it late in the order.

With a pet
A generated dog is a dog you do not have, and it is the first thing a match will ask about. Photograph the real one.
One credit makes one photo at standard quality, so the 5 free credits cover five of the six. Hinge asks for four to six photos depending on where you live (help page read in October 2026). Alex is fictional: every photo on this page is AI-generated.
Keep it looking like you
A generated photo is only useful if the person who walks into the bar matches it.

Look the way you do this month
Same hair, beard, glasses and build as today. If a friend would say the photo flatters you, fine. If they would say it is not you, delete it.
Skip the studio look
A grey backdrop and a suit belong on LinkedIn. On a dating app that polish reads as fake. Choose daylight, ordinary clothes and real places.
Mix generated photos with real ones
Use generated photos to fill gaps, such as a clear lead photo or a full-body shot. Keep real photos for friends, pets and anything that happened recently.
Only show things that are true
Hobbies you have, places you would go, clothes you would wear. Every photo is something a match can ask you about.
Expect to be checked
Tinder's Photo Verification and Hinge's Face Check both compare a video selfie with your profile photos (help pages read in October 2026). Our own profile rater marks a photo down when it looks AI-generated.
What Tinder, Hinge and Bumble say about AI photos
Read in October 2026. Tinder's Community Guidelines do not mention AI photos. Hinge and Bumble both name AI-generated content and prohibit using it to mislead or deceive.
Tinder
- The Community Guidelines do not mention AI photos. Rule 5 is to be yourself: no fake accounts and no pretending to be someone else.
- The Terms of Use, effective 5 March 2026, forbid misrepresenting your identity or age and prohibit uploading content that is untrue. They do not address photos made with outside AI tools. For Tinder's own AI features they say the result is still your content and you answer for its accuracy.
- Photo Verification compares a video selfie with your profile photos, and photos you add afterwards can affect your verified status.
Hinge
- The AI principles page accepts that members may add generative AI images, and says they must not misrepresent who you are or what you are looking for.
- The Community Guidelines treat misleading or outdated photos as dishonest and unfair to other members, and require one photo that clearly shows your face.
- The prohibited content page lists AI-generated content used to mislead other people, and asks that what you post is real, personal and up to date.
Bumble
- The inauthentic profiles guideline does not allow using another person's photos, “artificially-generated photos, or enhanced photos to deceive others”. That is close to Hinge's wording, but Bumble's guidelines do not say that AI images can be part of a profile, so read strictly it can cover any generated photo.
- In July 2024 Bumble added a report option for profiles using AI-generated photos or videos, under Fake profile, as Engadget reported at the time.
- The profile photo rules require at least one photo of only you with your full face visible, and do not permit photos so distorted or digitally altered that it is unclear the person is you.

What that means for you
On Tinder and Hinge, a generated photo of you is not banned outright, and it breaks the rules if it misleads people about what you look like. Bumble lists artificially generated photos used to deceive others under inauthentic profiles, and in July 2024 it added a report option for AI-generated photos, so real photos are the safer choice there. This tool gives you natural-looking photos of yourself. Whether each one is honest enough to post is your call, photo by photo, and the app has the final say: all three say that breaking their rules can cost you the account. If a photo is in doubt, use a real one. Rules change, so read the linked pages before you upload.
How to make AI dating photos in 3 steps
No photographer and no friend with a camera needed.
Step 1
Upload a few selfies
One to three recent, clear photos of your face. Recent matters here: the result should look like you do now.
Step 2
Describe the photo you need
Type the scene: a cafe terrace, a trail at sunset, a shirt you would wear on a date. The profile rater also writes scenes you can send straight to the studio.
Step 3
Keep the ones that look like you
Each photo takes about a minute. Download the natural ones and delete anything a friend would not recognise.
